Quick Fat Loss - 4 Tips
December 29, 2008
When looking for a quick fat loss program there isn’t a shortage of information promising to help you lose “100 pounds in 30 days with NO work!” Below are 4 of the most overlooked principles when trying to put together a good fat loss diet.
- Reduce your calories but don’t go crazy. It just comes down to fewer calories in than out. BUT do not cut down on your calories too much or the opposite will happen which is weight gain. Starving yourself is a quick way to sabotage your weight loss efforts. Your body will start to burn muscle instead of fat if you cut down your calories too much
- Simple exercising can burn an additional 500-1000 calories! Also in the process you will build muscle. Muscle burn fat at a faster pace and even does so while you are resting!
- Drink more water. This is one of the most underutilized methods. So many people take advantage of the health properties of water. And NO, coffee and teas do not count as water. As a good rule of thumb drink half your weight in ounces.
- Eating frequently is the key. So many people think that in order to lose weight they need to eat less. This is almost always not the case. As a matter of fact, as mentioned above, eating less can actually make you GAIN weight. When you eat smaller but more frequent meals your metabolism starts to work faster so that you can burn the calories off faster.
When your body gets fed frequently, it keeps your metabolic rate high, which causes you to burn fat faster. Second, frequent eating helps suppress hunger so you don’t feel tempted to gorge on the junk foods available from your local restaurant, no matter how delicious they are!
