Do I Need Exercise Even If I’m On A Diet?
December 28, 2008
Diets are often times more important than exercise alone.
Techinically speaking, no, you do not NEED to exercise while dieting. But it really depends on your goals. If you want to lose the most weight as possible then exercise WHILE dieting at the same time will be very very beneficial. Of course, following a healthy, low-calorie diet is also important. If you exercise and eat calorie-rich foods all the time, your weight loss efforts would be totally sabotaged.
Sometimes you cannot exercise because of bad ankles or many other reasons. You still can lose a good amount of weight by following the right diet. In that case it can be better to find a diet that will work on manipulating your fat loss hormones. A calorie shifting diet can sometimes do a great job of this. It will actually use the body itself to manipulate and take advantage of fat burning.
But if you are able to exercise and diet at the same time then you should try to do so.
